I'm usually a big fan of Google and their services, but this sucks. Clear communication about the reason for the take-downs would make a world of difference, as would allowing the blog authors some way of showing their viewers something other than that mysterious take-down screen.
I hope Google somehow makes this right by you and all the other effected bloggers.
Oh no, where am I going to get my combined serving of porn, quotes and politics now? It's like losing a cute teacher, something to look at while you learn.
I didn't know you were closed till now. This sucks! I enjoy having my politics mixed with my porn. Hopefully, I'll see you up and running again (and that I'm not the next target.)
When I read the Google policy that claims that they keep track of "red-flags" and then close the ones that get too many I imediately realized that there must be an organized religious, "fundies-to-the-undies" movement at work here. No doubt political also. SOLUTION: Is it not obvious that these other narrow-minded blogs need a healthy share of well-earned red flags themselves?!

We own nothing. Even our bodies are loaned to us. Empty shells. Concentrate on the infinite and ignore the temporal. -- Kwai Chang Caine
Take nothing for granted as beautiful or ugly, but take every building to pieces, and challenge every feature. Learn to distinguish the curious from the beautiful. Get the habit of analysis - analysis will in time enable synthesis to become your habit of mind. 'Think simples' as my old master used to say - meaning to reduce the whole of its parts into the simplest terms, getting back to first principles.

All our knowledge merely helps us to die a more painful death than the animals that know nothing. A day will come when science will turn upon its error and no longer hesitate to shorten our woes. A day will come when it will dare and act with certainty; when life, grown wiser, will depart silently at its hour, knowing that it has reached its term.

The pleasure and joy that arise in dependence on the eye: this is the gratification in the eye. That the eye is impermanent, suffering, and subject to change: this is the danger in the eye. The removal and abandonment of desire and lust from the eye: this is the escape from the eye.

ReplyDeleteThis sudden closing is awful. I am having withdrawal problems already. How do I start my day? Am I addicted? Yep, and happily so.
ReplyDeletePlease find a way to let us know where you decide to go. No sense fighting City Hall. Just move on, maybe to your own independent web site.
Hell, I'd even subscribe if I could contine to get content as good as The Daily Slab.
Please let me know where you end up. I think you were deleted because of your accurate jibes at the right wing idiots....
Good luck. You have given me a lot of cheer over the years.
